One match firestarter for lump charcoal on kamados, charcoal baskets, and two-zone setups. Nest it in the mound for structure and airflow — simpler temp control, only the charcoal you need. No chimney, no torch, no cubes.
How it works
- Start with a clean firebox, Kick Ash / Vortex basket, or two-zone insert (no ash blocking airflow).
- Fold the Pyramid and place it where the fire lives.
- Bury with lump. Open the vents. Light the base with one long match.
Coals ready in about 15–20 minutes. The Pyramid burns away completely.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I’ve tried SO many fire starters over the years as a BBQ enthusiast, and these my friend, are the ones to buy. Heck, I even tossed a couple in my “emergency supply” bag because they’ve proven so efficient.
Not only do they eliminate the need for a charcoal chimney completely, but they also help me maximize my burn time because of the precision they yield when lighting. I also LOVE that I have not ONCE had one snuff out on me. (I’m on my third ten pack now). Because of the inherent breathability you get with the genius design, you can just toss one in and bury it with charcoal. In no time, you’ll be ready to cook.
